About the PowerBlock Pro 50 Adjustable Dumbbells

These adjustable dumbbells are not only great for home use but also in a commercial setting, too.
Although the overall consensus is that these are great weights (easy to select the load, look great, well built, accurate weight loads) a couple of reviewers had some negative comments.
One reviewer complained that the product was not very well manufactured. They bought their set through SweatBand and said that the replacement set they received also had the same issues.
The issue was that there was a worrying amount of “play” between the handle and weight plates. They also said that the bolts were bad, meaning they could catch on clothes or skin.
The other problem – as with all selectorised dumbbells – is that you cannot drop them on the floor. This might sound silly to a newbie who would wonder why anyone would do that, however, once you start lifting heavy weights, it is natural to push close to failure, and releasing the weights and letting them drop means you can push closer to failure.
