About the NordicTrack EXP 10i Treadmill
The NordicTrack EXP 10i Treadmill is new for 2021. Building on experience from previous models, NordicTrack has taken on customer feedback to present a mid-budget treadmill that exceeds expectations.
The EXP 10i comes with a large running deck (20″ x 60″ – or 51 x 152 cm), a decline function of -3%, a powerful 3.5 CHP motor, a large 10″ touchscreen and other useful features such as fans and speakers.
It’s priced well, has a great warranty, and should fall within most people’s budget.
The only criticism is that it doesn’t fold away but other than that, this is a great machine that should make anyone’s shortlist.
That said, we would recommend the ProForm Pro 5000 ahead of this. At the time of writing, the Pro 5000 is slightly cheaper, however, it is foldable and has a greater incline percentage of 15%. The ProForm Pro 5000 is shown below so you can check out the specs. Also check out our Best Treadmills guide to see how this best folding treadmill compares with other models and other budgets.

My Thoughts On the NordicTrack EXP 10i
Delivery and set-up
The delivery and set-up of the NordicTrack EXP 10i was straightforward and simple. The machine itself was well-packaged and we were up and running in less than an hour from taking delivery – which included setting up iFit. The instructions are simple and easy to follow, and if you have any issues while setting up, you can find solutions quite swiftly by chatting online to customer support.
While quite a few customers have complained about Icon Fitness customer support in reviews, many of these come from a period where everyone in the world was experiencing supply chain issues and increased support demand. These issues appear to have settled down a little by now, so you should get a higher level of support if needed.
Comfort
The running deck is awesome. The flex cushioning option means you can switch between response rates. This means a more springy ride with it turned on, and a firmer ride when it is off – which is ideal if you are preparing for road running. Remember, that for a low-impact exercise routine you should have the flex option on. This will be better for your joints in the long run, and the only option if you can only partake in low-impact exercise.
The dual Autobreeze fans are more powerful than other treadmills we’ve tested so you can keep cool in the summer months or during more intense sessions.
The new Bluetooth headphone feature is cool. I set this up so I could listen to music on my Bluetooth earphones without having to use the treadmill speakers.
iFit
The iFit app is certainly the main selling point of NordicTrack and ProForm Fitness products. And I can see why. With over 17,000 online workouts, interactive training and global landmarks, you’ll never get bored of the wide range of routines.
Also worth noting – you don’t have to register with iFit to get the EXP 10i up and running. Some customers were unhappy because they did not want to put their credit card info in, and did not want the subscription. If you hold the Bluetooth button down for 30 seconds, you can bypass this element altogether
While the iFit subscription might seem expensive, when you consider the sheer volume of options you have, we believe it is worth the money.

So, how do we score our products?
Basically, we combine the customers’ reviews with our own expert analysis. When we analyse, we use hard, comparable data. For example, we take the top speed, running area, motor power, incline percentage etc and rank it against other treadmills in the same price category.
Once combined, we have a Savvy Score, which is a rating out of 10.
