What’s New in 2022
The NordicTrack 1750 has received a face-lift for 2022. It’s had a complete medical and total overhaul. Here’s what’s new:
Larger Display
The new 14″ monitor is more generous than its predecessors (which came in at just 10″ and 7″)
Faster Incline and Decline Response
Customers were unhappy with the incline and decline responsiveness of previous models. NordicTrack took this on board and made improvements. The motor is also quieter, as some customers complained of how noisy the 1750 used to get when changing positions.
Improved Speakers
Most treadmill sound systems receive a well-earned bashing. The Commercial 1750’s new system is not one of those. It’s been sharpened, delivering a more enjoyable listening experience.
New ActivePulse Feature
ActivePulse is a new additional feature. The machine adjusts the speed and incline to keep the runner’s heart rate in the optimal zone.
Integrated Tablet Support
The 1750 Commercial Treadmill allows users to attach a tablet above the display screen. The adjustable design also makes it a breeze to find the perfect viewing angle.
Flex Cushioning
In 2013, NordicTrack hit the news with the release of its ground-breaking Flex Cushioning system. As “flex” suggests, you can alter the running deck settings to suit your needs. The softest setting reduces joint impact thanks to four coil springs (mounted over dubber dampeners).
With the Flex Cushioning setting on, we experienced the soft running deck. When off, the deck becomes firm. There is a noticeable difference between the settings. The firm setting mimics a natural road feel. I prefer to protect my joints, so I only used the cushioned setting during further testing.
Large Running Surface
Taller runners really must consider the size of the running belt. I’m short at 5′ 8″ (172.5 cm), so I don’t usually worry too much.
One of the main drawbacks of cheaper treadmills (such as the JLL T350 and Reebok GT40s) is the running area size. Sometimes a smaller surface is just fine – for example when you have less space in your home or gym. However, a larger surface is desirable when you have more room.
The running area on the NordicTrack 1750 is 22″ x 60″ (55 x 152 cm). The belt is also 2-ply, designed to reduce friction and noise for a quieter workout and higher durability.
How Does The NordicTrack 1750 Compare to Other Treadmills?
One of the main things to consider when buying a treadmill is how it compares to others in the same price range.
